Born on December 20, 1985, he was US arms dealer for his company AEY, a major contractor for the US Department of Defense. The government suspended his company AEY because they violated a contract and they attempted to re-brand and re-package Chinese ammunition. This goes against the American Arms embargo in China. Diveroli was sentenced to 4 years in federal prison.
Jonah Hill, who acts as Efraim Diveroli.
David Packouz:
Born on Febuary 16, 1982, was 23 when he joined Efraim, who was 19 at the time, in arms dealing with Efraim's company AEY. They were making millions and David had a wife and a child. The US government found out that the two were trying to sell Chinese ammunition to the US government. This led to prison and nine months of house arrest for David.

Heinrich Thomet:
Heinrich Thomet is a Swiss arms dealer. Him and his partner, Karl Brugger, started the company B&T. This company sold silencers, ammunition, weapons, gear and much more to the Swiss government. The reason Thomet is in this movie is because he offers Efraim and David men and a place to re-package the ammunition that would soon get them arrested.

Ralph Merrill:
Ralph Merrill gave money to Ephraim and David's company AEY. He gave money in return he wanted money. Ralph was sentenced to 4 years of prison after AEY pleaded guilty of breaking their contract and Ralph lost a lot of his money in the process.

Kosta Trebicka:
Kosta Trebicks is an Albanian "Whistle Blower." Meaning when David and Efraim were not available he was in charge. He was the whistle blower for the operation where AEY was repackaging the Chinese ammunition. He died mysteriously after the incident was caught by the US government.
